UAE Confirms New Year’s Day Holiday for Everyone

The UAE government has announced New Year’s Day as a holiday that falls during the middle week for both public and private sector employees. As per the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, 1st January 2025 will be considered a paid holiday for all employees. Further, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization shared this message on social networks to post the notice to every person in UAE.

The holidays for the year 2025 are:

1. Eid Al Fitr,
2. Eid Al Adha,
3. National Day,
4. The Islamic New Year, and many more.

The federal government workers are required to resume duty on the 2^nd of January 2025 because disruption in returning to work will be discouraged.

As preparations for flamboyant New Year events all over the UAE continue to ramp up, they have gone viral. The fireworks at Burj Khalifa in Dubai shall remain a favorite as before with the dedicated space of Downtown Dubai for free fireworks viewing from 5 PM. It is also advised to arrive early as many roads get closed from 6 PM.
